Finshed Opening Height
same as door
height or slightly smaller
Finshed Opening Width
should be 2" - 3"
UNDER the actual door width
There are two low voltage wiring circuits required for any new operator today:
The wallbutton station. The Wallbutton circuit runs from the ceiling, centered on the door opening, and
the operator outlet setback distance. Leave a minimum of 3' lead to connect to the operator. The other
end runs to whereever the wallbutton will be mounted. Please note that the wallbutton should be located
so that the door is in visible range and can be seen when activated. Also, it should be placed about 5' up from the floor.
The Safety/Photoelectric Sensors. There are two circuits, one for each side of the door. Leave a 24" lead,
6" off the floor, and 4 - 6" back or to the side, and both sides of the door opening. These leads come out of
the ceiling at the same location as the wire for the wallbutton with a minimum of 3' lead.
